Medical oncology services within Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust operated within the “Kent Oncology Centre” and provides cancer services across the whole country with clinics running at all caner units. Trainees receive comprehensive tutelage within the KSS deanery. The department received excellent feedback from trainees highlighting the inclusive working environment with the delivery of complex cancer treatments and incorporation of clinical trials.

Educational opportunities are abundant, with weekly teaching. Opportunities include, including a multidisciplinary grand round, complemented by a Weekly Journal Club where trainees present the latest research, guidelines, and state-of-the-art management approaches. Each trainee gets intensive consultant led training with opportunities to contribute to the MDM process.
