This was probably best placement at any hospital I've done in medical school so far, mainly thanks to the organisation from the med ed team and the willingness of all the staff to teach and really include us.

I have chosen to rank MTW as my first choice because of the supportive environment I experienced during my final year of placements (acute care, long term conditions and TTF1). The education fellows and ward consultants all helped to create a great learning environment, and offered extra support with practical exams. I saw how the foundation doctors during my placements all built good working relationships with their seniors and their wider teams. All the SpRs and consultants were very happy to discuss foundation programme location choices with me, including reasons to prioritise picking a DGH over tertiary centres due to the learning opportunities available.
