As the academic year comes to a close, our medical education activities are winding down. So we’d like to take this opportunity to review our year working as your medical education fellows.
In addition to delivering weekly teaching to our lovely medical students, we’ve worked to design some new educational initiatives. This has included medical escape rooms, specialist communication simulation, ultrasound training, and increasing our outreach with local schools focusing on medical school applications. These projects have been well received and resulted in national and international presentations for many members of our team. We have all enjoyed designing and delivering this range of teaching, with wonderful engagement from our students and assistance from staff across the trust.
In the next few weeks we’ll welcome our new FY1s to MTW, and wish them the best of luck settling in to life on the wards. They will have a lovely new team of medical education fellows who can provide support and education, and we can’t wait to see what they do with their year.
Finally a huge congratulations to all our graduating students from KCL, KMMS, and St Georges, we have loved working with you across this year and will hopefully meet you again as clinicians!
