MTW has a strong and well established reputation for surgical training and provides the Core Surgical Trainee with an invaluable experience of emergency and elective surgical activities across a broad spectrum of specialities.

Our programme, which to maximise experience, is based across both Maidstone Hospital & Tunbridge Wells Hospital, is designed to give Trainees an excellent opportunity to develop their skills safely and quickly to enable them to assess, manage and operate on a wide range of surgical conditions, with a strong emphasis on acute and emergency surgery.

Wherever possible we endeavour to ensure that Trainees gain experience in the subspecialty area that they may wish to pursue as a career. This means that Trainees who are motivated and show initiative can develop and thrive.
