Overview

Specialty training in Clinical Radiology is available at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals.

Our Clinical Radiology training programme offers excellent consultant access, broad subspecialty exposure and strong exam outcomes across both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals.

We have 32 friendly and supportive consultant radiologists and currently train 8 radiology trainees across both sites, allowing for excellent one-to-one teaching and close supervision. Training is provided in all major radiology subspecialties, supported by a weekly consultant-led teaching rota.

Trainees benefit from hands-on procedural experience, including CT and ultrasound-guided biopsies, MDT participation and exposure to a wide range of imaging modalities. There is protected time for learning, strong educational support, and a good track record of FRCR exam success.

The departments at both sites are welcoming, collegiate and trainee-focused, with consistently positive trainee feedback and a strong emphasis on professional development and wellbeing.
