MTW’s simulation team runs a wide variety of courses, including multi-professional and specialty-specific training.

Simulation suites and clinical skills rooms are available at both Maidstone Academic Centre and Tunbridge Wells Education Centre.

Simulation Training

Simulation training is suitable for all backgrounds and grades of staff: Doctors, Physician Associates (PA), Nurses and nursing assistants, Midwives, Clinical Support Workers (CSW), Theatre Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, undergraduate healthcare students, etc.

Skills Suites

Clinical skills rooms are available at both sites and are equipped with a wide variety of training equipment.

  • Low, medium, and high fidelity task trainers are available for CPD and specific learning objectives.
  • A variety of clinical examination trainers – pelvic, rectal, breast, eyes, ears.
  • Various part task trainers e.g. CVP, Chest drain, catheterisation.
  • Laparoscopic trainers (TWH) and laparoscopic suite (Maidstone).
