Hawkenbury Cricket Ground played host to the hotly-contested annual Consultants vs Trainees cricket match on Sunday 11 June.
The 20 overs per side match took place in sweltering heat, watched by family and friends. In the absence of Dr Paul Moran who was unfortunately injured, Dr James Barron captained the Consultants and Dr Joshua Kader led the Trainees.
The Consultants batted first and scored 162 in the face of excellent bowling by the Trainees.
In response the Trainees finished on 156 with a significant contribution from Dr Abhishek Nair who was awarded Medic of the Match!
It was the closest finish for a number of years and play was of a very high standard. Congratulations to the Consultants who brought home the cup for the third year running.
