Undergraduate Facilities

Both the Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone site benefit from first-class state of the art facilities and equipment which is accessible to all students. There are small group teaching and skills rooms in both the Education and Training Centre (ETC) at TWH and the Academic Centre at Maidstone and in Departments on both sites.

The Centres have a range of teaching rooms available, including:

  • 180 seat Auditorium,
  • Lecture Rooms that can accommodate 40 people,
  • Laparoscopic suite and Seminar Rooms of varying sizes.

Facilities for video-conferencing between sites exist and each Centre has modern up to date Audio Visual equipment. A number of Departments also have dedicated teaching rooms.

Simulation

We have dedicated Simulation facilitators who plan and deliver simulation session for all of the students. They specifically design scenarios for the students to get involved and gain experience in where they otherwise may not have. It also allows for one to one feedback and can help a student’s confidence in certain areas.

Library

There are extensive libraries at both hospitals in the Academic Centre at Maidstone and co-located with the Education and Training Centre at Tunbridge Wells. The libraries not only offer a range of printed material, but access to online digital content. Both libraries offer a number of desktop PCs in quiet areas for students to use for private study.
